Former Stamp Farms owner Michael Stamp's trial date is set for Oct. 6, 2020, after a court rejected a plea agreement. The Michigan farmer's bankruptcy and criminal case began eight years ago, but he is accused of fraud totaling $60.5 million.

As UN FAO Ambassador, Indiana Farmer Kip Tom Talks About US Role in Ag Development Speaking to DTN at the USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum on Friday, Kip Tom, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Agencies for Food and Agriculture in Rome, sees first-hand some of the struggles with food production and smallholder farmers. Tom wants to see agricultural technology better used to help farmers in developing countries increase production, but noted U.S. views often conflict with Europe on how to aid farmers on the African continent.
March corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel, March soybeans are up 1 cent, and May KC wheat is down 3/4 cent.
Continued widespread market concerns are seen early Tuesday following limit losses in cattle futures Monday. The underlying fear of widespread coronavirus impacting the overall global and domestic economies as more cases are seen outside of China could limit short-term buyer support.
